About the Author

J. R. Cygal is a senior structural analysis engineer with over two decades of experience in aerospace. He's lived across the U.S. but now resides in the Pacific Northwest. His favorite season is winter and he often skis or attempts snowboarding at Crystal Mountain or Stevens Pass. Some of the authors who have influenced him include Ursula K. Le Guin, Robert A. Heinlein, Mikhail Bulgakov, Jón Kalman Stefánsson, and Dmitry Glukhovsky.

J. R. Cygal couldn't be more humbled to share his debut novel in speculative fiction. He feels he owes everything to his beta readers, editors, and friends who over four years taught him so much. He sincerely hopes that this novel—for the first time since Nevil Shute's "No Highway"—shows the struggles that so many in aerospace experience when fighting for what's right.
